The Institute for Clinical Research gives up most importance in proper and structured manner of research data collection. In line with this ICR has joined the the Research Electronic Data Capture (REDCap) consortium in use of the REDCap system as a primary data collection platform for clinical research. REDCap developed by the Venderbilt University, USA is a secure web application for building and managing online surveys and databases. While REDCap can be used to collect virtually any type of data, it is specifically geared to support online or offline data capture for research studies and operations.

ICR together with the NIH has expanded the IT infrastructure to host and support this system in house. ICR with the IT division enforces good practice in data governance and protection to ensure research data is stored safely and reproducible.
